We got to Iceland via a 17 hour (from memory) ferry from the Faroes which left a day and a half later than planned due to a storm in Iceland. The route the ferry took was sailing to the south part of Iceland first then going north along the coast to the port in the east.
After realising we might’ve lost all our GoPro footage from our cycling trip around Europe, Kel put together some of the videos we took on our normal camera. This footage is from Switzerland to Iceland involving travel by bicycle, train, bus and ferry! Have a watch 🙂 Music by Kel’s favourite singer….. the Biebs haha
We’ve gone to the beach every day since being here in Shimoda, Japan. It’s awesome! It made me reminisce on the last time we went swimming in the ocean before here. That was in Iceland! You can read more about it here but I put together a quick clip from the GoPro!
Continued from Kel’s part one.
We got into a sleeping position that was reasonably comfy considering we were in the front seats of our Skoda, wrapped in our warm clothes and sleeping bag. As Kel mentioned it was an incredibly still night, with a perfect, clear view of SO many stars. It was probably the starriest night we’ve seen.
Before leaving Iceland, we still had one more road trip in store. Instead of flying from the East coast to Reykjavik, we decided to hire a car and drive there.
This small town on the East coast of Iceland has quickly become one of our favourite destinations so far on our trip.
The weather was turning it on last week for Neskaupstadur. When that sun comes out, it’s like there’s instant good vibes everywhere. I’ve never loved and appreciated the sun so much.
