After staying in France for a bit over two months, we decided to hit the road and make our way to Italy.
For the past week, Eb and I have been chilling at a campsite in Embrun, a small town in the High Alps region. We’re not too far from the French/Italian border.
Cycling the alps has most definitely been the hardest physical thing I’ve ever done! I’ve been debating whether it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done as it’s both a mental and physical challenge whereas finishing my degree was just mentally challenging.
Guillaume is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.
We are absolutely loving Lyon, It is such a pretty town. Kel even likes it more than Paris!
Salut from Lyon!
We have finally arrived in Lyon with just a bit more than 300 kms to go until our destination of Marseille.
Just a quick update since leaving Paris.
It wasn’t a very long bike ride from Fleurines to Paris. We cycled into Paris passing the Moulin Rouge on our way to see the Arc de Triomphe which was awesome, making our way down the Champs Elysees…
Felix Basset is a friend I made when I went on a school trip to France in 2005 when I was 14 years old. He wasn’t even my host, he was another students’ but we connected and have stayed in contact ever since.
Bienvenue! We arrived in France three days ago!
